EMI record label is planning to start itrsquo;s own online music service by the end of this year. It shall also include some free musiccontent, said Reuters. It seems that allkinds of record companies areslowly, but surely try to explore the Internet as a source for selling music. CD days arefading away, and it becomes more obvious every year. Mp3 revolutionis simplyunstoppable. This new service will be located at their official website, whichis currently used only to post news articles andall sorts ofthe relevant information about music industry. Companyrsquo;s representatives are calling this project ldquo;experimental laboratoryrdquo;, and everyone can only say good luck to them.It means all kinds of things and possibly themajor one is to try something whateverybody is doing these days ndash;the online distribution of music versus CDs.

By now EMI is participating in a number of similar projects. For example, the biggest one so far is Comes With Music(Nokia). Buying an expensive cell phone gives itrsquo;s owners a free access to their music catalogue during one year. They also work together with YouTube and MySpace Music.
